ANNUAL REPORT 2019

 

A very Good Evening to one and all gathered here…

I feel honoured to extend a hearty welcome to all dignitaries, parents and teachers.

            On this special day I am very happy to present the annual report of the school that showcases the achievements and glories of our school in the past year.

Academics

Academics have always been an essential part of human development and achieving academic excellence is at the heart of our endeavour as educators. We have come to realise that education in the 21st century is a 360 degree activity and every step is taken to focus on student’s overall development rather than restricting him/her to the classroom. Like every year, this year also our students have done extremely well in the CBSE Board Examinations 2019. We are happy to share the details of the commendable performance of our students in Class X and XII. In Class X, around 75 students scored above 90% marks and in class XII Master. Meehir Varshney scored 100 % marks in the subject Computer Science.

The new academic session was started in the month of April 2019 under the new management body that was constituted with Rev.Sr. Jeslit as the Manager , Rev. Sr. Anjali Maria as the  Principal and Rev. Sr. Shanti Grace as the Vice-Principal. Under the  supervision of the new management body, Dr. Om Rishi Bhardwaj has been elected as the new staff secretary.

Elections for the students council were held in the month of July 2019 and members were entrusted with duties and responsibilities specially to look after the matters of the school discipline. Master Mukul Yadav and Ms. Isha Tiwari were elected as School Leaders and Master Imad Arif and Ms. Kshama Dixit as assistant school leaders. House captains, Vice-captains and sports captains were also elected for respective houses. The investiture ceremony was conducted on 10th July 2019 in the presence of the School Manager, Principal, Vice-Principal and teachers. They were entrusted with their duties and responsibilities. It was a solemn ceremony.

A new batch of 27 students was formed for a new stream – Humanities, which is being introduced from this year. The students will appear for CBSE Board Exam in 2020. 20 meritorious students of our school participated in the Inspire Camp 2019 held at SRMS, Bareilly.

Sports and Games

 Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. To implement it, the students of the school are divided into four different houses. Each house is managed by teachers and students as house captains and vice captains. The house on duty performs its duty of conducting the day to day activities, competitions in systematic and disciplined manner.

To encourage sports and games, the school sent a group of 16 students from Class VIIIth to participate in Teen Star Camp which was held in the month of May 2019 hosted by St. Francis School, Boisar (Maharashtra) . Various competitions were held there and our school was the 1st runner up.

On 14th November Children’s Day, the various sports competitions were organised by our school.  The winners  were honoured with trophies and medals.

Some students from our school participated in the ‘Athletic Meet’ which was conducted by The District Athletics Association of Etah. It was conducted in Etah stadium on 12th and 13th October 2019. Sanjana Yadav from Class XIA won 1st and 2nd prize in 200m and 100m race respectively.

from KG to Class XII was Rs. 8,65,860 (Eight Lakhs Sixty Five thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Only.)

Competitions

Various competitions are held from time to time to motivate the students. Competitions like Rangoli designing, Painting, Greeting Card Making, Essay Writing, Role Play, poster making, letter writing, poetry and many more were held on various occasions like Gandhi Jayanti, Patron’s day etc. Also, a Science Exhibition was organised by the School on 13th November 2019 in which 3 CBSE affiliated schools of the district, participated. The projects were in Junior and Senior Categories and the winners were awarded with the prizes. It was a good initiative to motivate the students in the field of Science.

Various co-curricular activities are held under different clubs for the all round development of the students. Regular club activities are held in which the students participate and display their calibre. On 7th August 2019 the inauguration of various clubs was started which went on up to 20th August 2019.

Besides this, to improve the academic excellence and to generate a passion for competitions, various Olympiads are being conducted in the school by the Olympiad Foundation like English, Maths, Science, IT, GK etc. In UP Genius exams, our school stood first in UP. On December 3rd a district level speech competition was organised by Transport department Uttar Pradesh in which 60 schools participated. Our student Vedant Chauhan of Class XI stood first and was awarded a cash prize of Rs.21,000.

Cultural Programmes

            Various cultural programs like group singing, dancing, skits, story telling, role play etc were organised throughout the year on different occasions of Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day etc. As per CBSE guidelines a group of students participated in a rally on Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’s Jayanti as a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week which was entitled as ‘Run For Unity’ and also an oath was taken by staff and students on ‘National Integration’. It gives students a good platform to make themselves not only a person of intelligence but also helps them to be a person of values. Yoga and meditation classes are conducted regularly for the students. Spiritual lessons are also being given to the students for their all round development.

 

 

Teachers and Students Training and awareness programmes

For Teachers : To enhance the capability of a teacher CBSE organises various seminars and workshops throughout the year. A two day workshop on skill development, Classroom Management, Mathematics was organised by CBSE at Suditi Global Academy Mainpuri and nine  of our teachers attended it.

A teachers’ seminar was also organised in our school on 3rd August 2019. The resource person was Mrs. Rajni Notiyal the Principal of Gyandeep School, Mathura.

For Students :

As per the guidelines of the CBSE, the Vigilance Week was also observed and various programs and rallies were organised as a part of the celebration. It was celebrated from 28th October 2019 to 2nd November 2019. On 31st October Ekta Diwas was celebrated in the memory of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

In addition to this, a career guidance programme for class XII students was conducted in the school by GLA University Mathura. The resource person motivated the students by giving them some tips or guidelines related with self study and time management. A quiz for Classes XI and XII was organised by Amar Ujala on 26th November 2019. CBSE also celebrated Swachh Bharat Mission anniversary on Gandhi Jayanti and the awareness program was organised by the students promoting cleanliness in the city and surrounding which shows a support from the youth to Swachh Bharat Mission that is launched by Hon’ble PM Mr. Narendra Modi. On special order of the magistrate, the students went to the city, with the government officials of the concerned department to join the mission and spread awareness towards cleanliness. The students along with the officials spread a good awareness and a message that cleanliness is next to Godliness and promoted a good and clean atmosphere in our surroundings. 

         An administrative block  was constructed that comprises of seminar halls and rooms so as to facilitate the staff and students for smooth conduct of various programmes and also to use them as control room for CBSE Board examinations.

            As social service is also one of the aims of our institution, the lepers in the district were provided with woollen clothes, sweaters, sarees, blankets etc . Also, the poor students were given concession in the school fee. The total concession given for the students

On this special day we also remember with sorrow the sad demise of Master Umang Pratap Singh of Class XII A on 1st August 2019.  In memory of the departed soul, a prayer meeting was conducted in the school followed by planting of a tree in his name “UMANG”.

Today we also express our gratitude to all those who helped and supported us in all our achievements and success specially our parents and well wishers the civil authorities and different departments of the Convent.
